Animal Behavior Enterprises (ABE), founded by Marian and Keller Breland in the 1940s, was a commercial venture based on the conditioning of animal behavior through positive reinforcement. Later, they formed IQ Zoo, which showcased these techniques in animal behavior for audiences visiting their Hot Springs, Arkansas facility. The Animal Behavior Enterprises Collection contains promotional materials for the IQ Zoo, business documents and correspondence from ABE, and some of the props and apparatus used in training and during animal performances.
